Could I Still Be Pregnant Despite Having Vomiting And Stomach Pain Along With Negative UPT?

Hey Dr. I was just wanting to know, my fiance and I did an in home insemination on the 1st April, the day her menstrual ended. A few days after that she was having some symptoms of pregnancy, everything besides swollen/tender breasts and vomiting. She has taken tests after tests of ovulation and pregnancy and they all say negative. She keeps having these sharp pains in her stomach, the lower, side, and middle. Could she perhaps be pregnant and the tests be wrong? She was bleeding like a normal menstrual Thursday evening and it stopped today. Her regular menstrual was to start today though. Can you give some advice/help?

HI,
I understand your concern.
First of all let me tell you one thing, ovulation is 14 days prior to expected date of menstruation.( about 14th day of menses in 28 days menstrual cycle)
-From that point view, insemination on last day of menses has least chance of conception. Her ovulation tests were also -ve. that again favors no conception.
- Again pregnancy test of urine is dependable after 8 days delay in period. You seem to have it done earlier.
- The symptoms she is having ( including early periods/ pregnancy like symptoms)can be due to hormonal imbalance out of psychological stress out of expectations to conceive/ or ovulation disorder like PCOD- this needs to be investigated by ovulation study.
- consult a gynecologist for specific treatment following the test.
* Artificial insemination comprises of collection of semen, preparation of semen after washing, selecting good sperms. The semen is then instilled in female genitals methodically under aseptic precautions on the day of ovulation.. So it's advised to be under an expert infertility specialist.
Thanks.
